About Anita Ali
I support individuals, leaders, and organizations in navigating complexity, stress, and transition through embodied awareness, systems thinking, and grounded decision-making.
I am an interdisciplinary somatic coach and wellbeing consultant with a background that bridges engineering precision, movement-based education, and somatic awareness.
Born in Tehran and having lived and worked across Iran, Italy, Spain, and Germany, I bring a cross-cultural and systems-oriented perspective to my work. I support people and organizations in developing clarity, stability, and responsible action — especially in complex or high-pressure environments.
I am the founder of Active Lighthouse (since 2025), offering somatic coaching and wellbeing consulting for individual and organizational contexts. My work integrates movement analysis, self-regulation, and embodied leadership approaches to support sustainable performance and informed decision-making.

When people ask me who I am, I cannot give just one answer. I am not a single label, but a blend of different currents that have shaped how I see, move, and work in the world. For some time now, I have allowed passion and curiosity to guide my direction.
Once I was trained to design aircraft and analyze forces with precision. But in the quiet corners of my homeland, Iran, my heart found another flight path that starts in the body: movement.
That turning point carried me beyond my homeland, across borders and cultures to Italy, Spain and then to Germany where I earned my Master’s in Dance Movement Therapy. Along this journey I discovered that the most profound transitions aren’t just geographic. They are internal, embodied, and deeply personal.
My interdisciplinary background provides me with a constellation of skills that allow me to navigate both the precision of systems and the fluidity of body awareness.
Today, as a somatic coach, I bridge between mind and body as interconnected systems.
I work with bodily awareness, movement, and regulation, alongside growth-oriented strategies and embodied leadership approaches, to support people and organizations in finding clarity, direction, and stability.
Somatic coaching integrates reflective conversation with body awareness to support sustainable change. In addition to working with thoughts, beliefs, and decision-making, it brings attention to physical sensations, posture, movement, and patterns of response that influence how we act under pressure.
By including the body in the coaching process, somatic coaching helps individuals recognize early signals of stress, improve emotional and self-regulation, and build resilience. This embodied awareness supports clearer thinking, more grounded decision-making, and a stronger sense of orientation — especially during periods of challenge, burnout risk, or transition.
Somatic coaching is not therapy. It is a future-oriented, developmental approach that supports people in strengthening awareness, responsibility, and choice. The focus is on practical integration: translating insight into everyday action at work and in life.
A lighthouse does not move the ship, and it does not choose the route. It offers orientation.
In my work, I take the role of the lighthouse, helping to illuminate what may not yet be visible, offering reference points when the path feels unclear, and supporting people in finding their direction. The responsibility for the journey, however, always remains with the person or the organization navigating it.
I have experienced the value of such guidance in my own life. People who illuminated my path during difficult crossings. Their presence was not loud or imposing, but steady and grounded.
Active Lighthouse stands to show you the way without taking it for you, supporting awareness without removing r
Diese Mischung unterstützt sowohl die Klarheit des Denkens als auch die Klarheit der Bewegung, denn nachhaltige Veränderungen entstehen, wenn Körper, Geist und Mission in Einklang gebracht werden.
East Meets West
I come from West Asia, often referred to in the West as “the Middle East.”
I carry its philosophical perspective, and through living and working in Europe, I have also been shaped by Western practicality, its focus on structure, efficiency, and tangible outcomes.
My work brings these worlds together: the structured frameworks of Western systems, combined with the wisdom and depth of Eastern thought.
This integration allows me to work with both organizational dynamics and human experience in a grounded, practical way.
Life, as I see it, is a dance of opposing forces; similar to the push and pull that keeps planets in orbit and currents in motion. At times, people and systems move toward extremes because that is where important information becomes visible. Yet, as in physics, where a magnetic field finds strength through balanced polarity and a compass aligns with an unseen force, wellbeing lies in knowing when and how to return to center.
In my work, I support individuals and organizations in finding their own magnetic north, an internal reference point that allows for clarity of thought and clarity of movement. This is where sustainable change becomes possible: when body, mind, and purpose are aligned, even in complex or high-pressure environments.
At the heart of my work lies a belief that Choice Theory offers powerful guidance for human interaction reminding us that every behavior is an attempt to meet our essential needs and that freedom begins in responsibility.
I combine this practical lens with a Jungian perspective, exploring symbols, archetypes, and the shadow, those unseen parts of ourselves that often shape our actions.
In my coaching, these two streams merge: the clarity of Choice Theory with the depth of Jungian insight, helping people not only to understand why they move as they do, but also to choose how they wish to move next in body, in mind, and in life.
